Two Odessans have waltzed their way to victory.

But, it wasn’t just the waltz that vaulted Ray Reynosa and

Eva Mills to claim the title in the newcomer division Saturday

at the Texas DanceSport Challenge Championship in Houston. They also danced the tango and foxtrot to take first in the American Smooth categories.

Reynosa is an information service technician for the City of Odessa and is also an instructor at the Love To Dance Studio.

Mills is director of physical medicine and rehab at Medical Center Hospital.

Maxine Petteway

Maxine%20PettewayWhen Maxine is not dancing sexy Latin moves & beautiful long ballroom strides on the dance floor with her teacher Chad at Sonia’s, she is showing exotic dogs. She has been showing dogs since 1984 and had shown some of the top winning Standard Schnauzers in the country. You may have seen her on TV. Her kennel’s name is Von Schaden Standard Schnauzers.

Maxine is also a cancer survivor (pink is my color) and she is also a licensed massage therapist.  With all of the exciting life of showing exotic dogs and Ballroom & Latin Dancing, she still finds time to skate, play golf and ride my bike. Maxine is an awesome student & a beautiful dancer that says: “I guess I’m kind of laid-back. Ha Ha Ha”
