On June 10th, 2006, Sonia, owner of Sonia's World of Dance and one of Houston's premiere dance instructors, hosted a fashion show benefiting her favorite charity, the Houston Area Women's Center. She partnered  with Designer Suzanne B, one of Houston's hottest new designers, and excellent event planner, Yvette Sherade, to produce and present an evening of fashion and entertainment. It was a showcase of true style, talent, and sophistication with every seat in the room filled. Yvette Sherade transformed Sonia's studio into a tropical  paradise with rose petals and flowers elegantly lining the runway. Latin music set the mood as stunning models hit  the runway in haute tropical resort wear from "TropiCouture by Suzanne B" and sizzling swimsuits from “Premiere  Swimwear.” In between fashion sets, Sonia and her dance partners dazzled guests with several Latin dance  numbers, including a tantalizing Tango that raised the temperature in the room a few degrees and dazzled the audience! Every breathtaking move demonstrated her and her partners’ expertise on the dance floor. The evening included an opening social hour including a complimentary wine bar, a jewelry display by new bauble designers "Pink Carrot," and a silent auction featuring items and services from local businesses. The Silent Auction garnered donations for the Houston Area Women’sCenter (HAWC) and raised awareness of the work and needs of  HAWC. Sonia, Suzanne B and Yvette kept it fun and focused for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and  giving! If you missed this one, they're doing it again October 14th, 2006!
